The new year always fills me with so much anxiety and dread, about changing myself any advice?

The new year always arrives with this loud, unspoken expectation that you should wake up on January 1st with your entire life figured out with new routines, a new mindset,  a new personality and no bad habits in sight. But honestly, fuck that! The truth is, you don’t need to reinvent yourself overnight or at all!! You’re not behind for still being human and you are completely worthy exactly the way you are, nothing is wrong with you!! If you do want to change (in a healthy way) it’s so important to remember that real change is slow, awkward, and often uncomfortable, especially when you’re trying to unlearn bad or unhealthy habits. Instead of overwhelming yourself with all the goals and changes you want to see, try starting small. Maybe try improving your day by 1%, or focus on one gentle overall goal per month instead of everything at once. 

You don’t need pressure and negativity to grow, you don’t need competition or comparison and you certainly don’t need to punish yourself to become someone worthy of a new year. Please remember to treat yourself with love and patience, and allow yourself to live your life how ever the fuck you want too💋💋
