happy first day of autumn angels!! 🍂
As the leaves turn and the nights draw in, Autumn has officially greeted us! Don't get us wrong, we loveee summer but there's something magical about this season of transition, change and balance. It's the perfect reminder to slow down, breathe and revisit the rituals and routines that help us to keep grounded. If your fyp is anything like ours, it's probs filled with autumn wishlists, from a fresh pair of Uggs to new shower gels, chunky knit cardigans and the perfect nail polish colour. So, we've put together our very own official guide to curating your perfect autumn aesthetic, using a mix of what you already own and a few well-deserved seasonal treats, of course!! This is just the first part of a three-part series. This part will focus all about getting inspiration and setting the tone for the new season. Stay tuned for the next couple weeks! Next week, we will be diving into all things fashion and beauty xx
1. Moodboard
Creating a moodboard is the perfect way to really visualise and set the tone for the vibe you want to embody this autumn. Whether you use Pinterest, Canva, your notes app or your journal or scrapbook, the key is to choose images really specific to your desired aesthetic. Think: outfit inspo, makeup looks, cosy home decor, seasonal activities, anything that sparks that excitement for autumn. It's such a lovely, calming activity to sit down, quiet your mind and get genuinely excited about the season ahead. Plus, this will become your perfect reference point throughout the season, for planning your weekends, when you're getting your nails done, or putting together outfits etc!! Here is ours as an example, you can make yours however you like!!xx

2. Watchlist
One of my favourite rituals at the start of a new season or festive period is choosing the show(s) or movies, I'm going to be binging in the months ahead. It's great for setting the tone and vibes. For example in October, I always rewatch The Vampire Diaries for all the Halloween spirit. It can also be super helpful for inspo, for example Elena Gilbert's outfits are great autumn fashion inspo!! Your watchlist can included both movies and TV shows, depending on the vibe or amount of time you have. You might want to go classic autumn with go-to shows like Pretty Little Liars, Gilmore Girls or Teen Wolf. Or maybe something more modern like Ghosts or Only Murders in the Building. And if you're not quite ready to let go of summer? The O.C. is always good!! You can keep it as your own cosy solo ritual or turn it into something more special and social by inviting your friends to weekly watches/sleepovers, especially if you are missing those weekly The Summer I Turned Pretty episodes like we are!! Choosing your autumn show is a great way to slow down and fully embrace all of the season, think no phone scrolling, no distractions, warm blankets, yummy snacks, just you (or your friends/family) and a episode or three!! Here is our autumn watchlist to help to inspire yours xx

3. Playlist
The final step in capturing your new season vibe is setting the soundtrack, it's essential for fully immersing yourself into the autumn mood. Whether it's the full soundtrack from your favourite autumn show, like Gilmore Girls, or a playlist of songs you've created yourself. This playlist will become your go-to for car rides, singing in the shower, and while getting ready. It will also be good for creating new habits, for example listening on a morning walk or sitting outside in the morning sun with a cup of tea. You can add or swap out songs throughout the season, making it a personal time capsule to revisit. Below is our autumn playlist, naturally it features alottt of Taylor Swift, because what is autumn without Red or Evermore??
