finding good romance books can sometimes be kind of hard, finding romance books that aren't just the typical tiktok recommended, can be even harder!! so for me, finding independent romance only bookshops, wether online or inperson, was a no brainer. its so fun to support bookshops that truly embrace and celebrate everything romance and I also love finding new authors and books!! here are some of my fav romance only uk based bookshops!!xx

established in 2024 and based in Edinburgh, book lovers bookshop is the uk’s first brick and mortar romance bookshop!! they are a Queer and Disabled-owned shop that focuses on everything romantic fiction!! they sell physically in store as well as through an online website which also carries pre-orders and signed copies with exclusive merch such as stickers, art prints and bookmarks💓

moonlit chapters is the uk’s first indie only romance bookshop!! through their online website, they offer a range of indie romances from sports, to fantasy to dark romance!! aswell as physical books they also sell cute bookish merch like bookmarks and stickers!! Moonlit chapters also it’s very own book club and subscription box!!🤍
happily ever after bookshop

HEA bookshop is one of the uk's first romance-based bookshops, with a huge range of romance reads, from sweet fluffy romcoms to dark spicy reads. HEA also hosts a wide variety of book events, from book signings, to bookshop popups and social meets up, based in the North West!! đź’‹

based online, literary lane bookshop is a women-owned, disabled-run bookstore offering everything romance and romantasy. aswell as books, this online store also sells cute bookish merch from prints and totebags to t-shirts!! also, with each item purchased, one tree is planted in Kenya!!đź’“

the love library is an independent bookstore, focused on the latest romance books. they have a huge focus on LGBTQIA+ reads and offer a wide collection!!🤍
